Bondaval brings in new Head of Credit and Product Lead
LONDON, 30th June 2021 – Charles Mensah, formerly of Euler Hermes, Greensill and ExxonMobil, is a credit risk expert with more than 10 years’ experience. He will form a key part of our underwriting team.
He will oversee financial modelling and credit risk analysis of clients as they are onboarded, whilst working alongside our Bondaval CTO, Yoel, as we continue to build out our credit engine.
Charles joins Bondaval from Greensill where he was VP, Senior Credit Analyst. Born and raised in Ghana, Charles studied Economics and Geography at the University of Ghana before moving to Prague where he completed his studies and joined ExxonMobil. Charles then moved to the UK in 2015 when he joined Euler Hermes before departing to join Greensill in 2018.
Bondaval is thrilled to welcome Charles to the team. His pedigree, experience, diligent approach and best practices in credit analysis will be invaluable support for Bondaval’s continued development.

Brandon Chung joins as Product Lead with a focus to continuously improve Bondaval’s platform value to our customers. Brandon brings with him a track record of building new ventures in fintech.
Brandon grew up between Hong Kong and Canada, and later studied at the University of Warwick, before joining the burgeoning fintech scene in London.
His portfolio includes working on one of Hong Kong’s first Virtual Banks, a US neobank, and a European Banking-as-a-Service platform.
Tom and Sam have a bold vision to democratise access to investment-grade trade finance solutions for all businesses. The team have been executing relentlessly towards this vision, and I’m incredibly excited to work alongside such a high-performing team to bring Bondaval’s benefit to customers across industries and geographies.
I'm delighted to have both Charles and Brandon join the company. It’s very exciting to bring on two team members who are both highly skilled and yet bring very different expertise and perspectives to the company. We’ve been very selective in hiring, but Charles and Brandon were both obviously going to uplift the calibre of our team, whilst bringing specialist knowledge and experiences that we didn’t previously have.
As the Bondaval team continues to grow, I can say with pride that each new hire improves our quality and that this is a truly exciting time for us.
